GREAT COVE BOAT CLUB
STORM PLAN

  1. Check general condition of all docks and lines.
  2. Remove and stow all loose materials and gear from docks.
  3. Tie off all finger piers:
       A Dock 280'
       B Dock 300' & 170'
    Total Length 1440'
       C Dock 170' & 220'
       D Dock 90' & 210'
  4. Coil & tie down fuel lines and pump out hose.
  5. Check yard for loose items & equipment: stow & tie down.
  6. Check all upland boats: add stands & blocking as required.
  7. Pre-start & check
    1. Emergency pumps.
    2. Stand-by generator
    3. Spare gas & oil
    4. Flashlights, candles, drinking water, spare lines, life jackets.
    5. Workboat
  8. Emergency Phone Numbers Posted.
  9. Club house: check all doors, tape off windows, remove & stow all deck furniture.
  10. Hurricane Watch: Inform all persons on premises of:
    Phone numbers, emergency equipment & procedures & utility shutoffs.
  11. During Storm: Use common sense. A boat is replaceable.
    Life Jackets are Mandatory on Docks!
